I'm re-configuring my system and I'm selling my Magnepan MG-12 speakers with black socks and cherry wood sides. I'm also including a pair of Sound Anchor stands designed for the MG-12.
"Positive Feedback" reviewer Ed Morawski stated that "...As I write this, The Coors Unplugged is playing. It sounds like they are in the room. I walk behind the MG12s and it is like going to the bar to refresh my glass. No speakers could possibly do more justice to female vocals, piano, and strings. Try them and you'll end up a fanatic, too. I just bought another pair for my home theater!" There are many other phenomenal reviews on-line.
My MG-12s are in beautiful condition. I've had the capacitors replaced with matched pairs of film capacitors by Sonicaps which opened up the mids and toned the highs. Because the film caps are bigger than the stock caps there is a small bulge in the socks near the bottom of the speakers.
