Hi guysI finally jumped! Bought a Thorens 160mk2 turntable, and I am really excited! In Europe these TTs are pretty popular, not sure how they are considered in the US. It comes with a mission 774 tonearm and a cartridge I probably have to change pretty soon. Wanted to ask if anyone here is familiar with this tonearm, and have any kind of experience with it. More specific I would like to hear if anyone knows if it's possible to upgrade cabling. A diy job? And also, I have some questions about the oil I have to replace when I recieve the TT Pretty soon, hopefully I will be able to get a top notch phono stage, I like decware..., and if so I figure my setup will be close to finalized. From needle to driver there will be a system with the close to the least possible amount of parts possible, and to me, less is more! No crossover, not a single circuit board, no unnecessary extra bits and parts.
