help in NOH kit
« on: 2 Oct 2004, 12:30 pm »
If someone coul help please:

In my NOH kit I only have RCA inputs and outputs. The only output I have is of HW cable (OCC) strain reliefs terminated with Eichman plugs.

My problem is with the gnd connections of output connectios.

In the drawing the output of RCA "+" goes to the switch "out" lug, directly. This is fine.
The RCA "--" goes to the swith "mute" lug directly or go to the GND of NOH ?

We have a star GND in the NOH with:

"TX102 white unmarked wire (int screen)"
    "TX102-black"
"switch mute lug" (the connection come from switch mute lug to the   GND)"
"input GND switch" (the connection come from input ground switch)

Thank You

Hello!

Hope you did not wait too long for my reply. I was away for a few days and am just back now.

>The RCA "--" goes to the swith "mute" lug directly or go to the GND of >NOH ?

The -- and the ground side of the output cable can be connected right at the mute lug if your wire works for that or you can do the connections all at the star ground lug.

>We have a star GND in the NOH with:
>"TX102 white unmarked wire (int screen)"
this internal screen wire has been a black wire lately.... All MK III's are black.

>"TX102-black"
this is the bottom of the secondary - with the OCC output wires it is a clear insulated copper wire with no lable.

>"switch mute lug" (the connection come from switch mute lug to the >GND)"
This is the same as always -

>"input GND switch" (the connection come from input ground switch)
This wire is to connect input ground to output ground when the 'hard ground' setting is selected.

I hope I covered the questions! Please let me know how you make out and ask about anything not clear.

Thansk!

John
