Okay so I use DBPoweramp to rip CD's with Lossless/Uncompressed FLAC files directly to the hard drive. I have Windows 7 Pro running with SP1.
I simply created a file called FLAC right on the laptop, and of course this file is now populated with several artists albums etc...
I also copied this FLAC file on to an external drive as well for backup and connection to a usb server on the main audio system. Copy and paste was a simple method that took over an hour or so to move 250 Gb plus.
But now this backup copy exists I am at a point that I don't want to have to re-copy this entire file every time I need to add a few things to the original file.
I tried some of the windows backup functions as well as just "Copy / Paste" onto the external backup drive thinking these files would just "Sync" or "Merge" missing files only, but it wants to overwrite, or redo the entire file every time.
What program or method can I use to just simply "Update" my backup copy? So if I add just 3 albums I don't need to go and find those 3 only trying to remember what I just ripped to directly move only those files manually by themselves.
In other words a simple way to just trigger an update transferring only the new files each time I backup the copies on the other drive.
I know Adobe Bridge will do this pretty easily and fast, but honestly for the 2 times every 6 months I need to do this update I don't want to buy something like Adobe bridge for this pretty simple, and basic function.
Thanks
