SOLD Eastern Electric MiniMax BBA.  It is a tube buffer with both a variable gain control and a volume control.  It has one set of input/output jacks.  If you only have one source, think of it as a tube preamp with variable gain.  But it has been described in reviews as much more than that in terms of how it can be used and how it can improve the sound of a wide range of audio systems through the use of adjustable gain.

It uses three tubes: two 6BM8/ECL82 in the buffering circuit, and one 6X4/EZ90/U707 rectifier.  Included are the original tubes plus the following recommended and purchased from Bill at Morningstar Audio, the importer for Eastern Electric: a pair of Thorn from Japan NOS 6BM8’s and two different rectifiers, a Tungsol 6X4W rectifier and a Haltron CV493/ 6X4 Black glass rectifier.  I paid $94 for these 3 months ago.  I will cover PayPal fees but shipping at actual cost is buyer’s responsibility.

$450 from 98424
