I put the FOD feet on my CD player, noticed immediately that the upper mids were less gritty.  Like them a lot better than what I was using before (Vibrapods).  For $15, way recommended.

Damn, now I have to give them a try and see how they work. Did you use all the rings or end up taking some out?

I used all the rings because most of my gear is stacked on top of the CD player.

Without measuring I would say about 1 1/4 inches/32mm, maybe a little more. Yep, there are four sections.

Hi Chris,

The diameter of the largest ring is 40mm, which would be app. 1.6".

We made them to supply a nice flexible alternative to the (in our eyes) quite expensive decoupling feet that is allready present on the market. To achieve a lower price we have saved on the expensive packing material  :D
We believe them to everybit as good as the alternatives on the market, though of course some feet will be better in a specific application than others. The ring system is really smart if we may say so, in a lot of cases you will have feet enough for two apparatus with just one set because of that.

    Thanks for you reply !![/list:u]
How is the "Fod" packaged ? If I understand, one "Fod" is four rings, four different size rings. So you would need just one "Fod" for each piece of equipement ? Can you explain further.....thanks !!! :) [/list:u]

Chris,

A set of JJAZ Fod consists of four complete feet. One complete feet is four rings inserted into each other.

The application of the Fod is probably easiest to understand if you look at the two examples in the pdf file on our website.

Yeah, I'd like to know that as well..

Wayne has been awfully quite since the show. Guess the old man is still busted :-)

Now lets get some orders ticking in, we want to sell a ton of JJAZ equipment in the US..

The old man has had a rough week :?

Recovering from the show, then going for a physical on Monday and getting a flu shot AND a tetanus shot at the same time. Getting all the gear packed up and shipped out AND trying to put my home system back together. Having to buy my daughter a new laptop. whine, whine, whine...

The JJAZ amps worked out very well, Johnny. Brian Cheney of VMPS was very impressed. He thought they were very clean and clear. He does not care for a lot of the digital amps, but liked these. In fact, he asked for an audition of the stereo version. Some folks were a little confused by the Trinaural set-up. Brian wanted that, so people could hear a good stereo image anywhere they sat in the room. I do feel that it does work very well, after some tweaking.

Like any audio show, you have less than 24 hours to load in and set-up a system in a room you have never seen before. I was tweaking and refining the sound the whole length of the show. The best sound was on Sunday afternoon when everthing had a chance to be left on for a bit.

The JJAZ amps seem to have almost infinite current reserves. The bass is very extended and very tight. The mids and highs are smooth and with out grain. They are merciless on marginal program material. Somewhat like the Panasonic digital receivers, the JJAZ amps act like a microscope and bring out everything on a recording, the good along with the bad.

They do not have any of the euphonic coloration that some tube gear has. They do not have any of the grain or harshness that some solid state has. I did find them nicely matched up with a tube preamp and tube phono stge with vinyl. The CD player also had a tube output stage.

I am ready to send the amps out on their tour of the USA. I need to pick up some better packing material for the mono-blocks this weekend. They were shipped with "organic" packing material that I do not think will hold up to the rigors of domestic UPS . The packing crates are great!.

If George is ready, I will start the tour with the NY Audio Rave. If not, the NC Audio Circle is ready. From there, the gear can make it's way west.

I will send along two pair of one meter Summit single ended interconnects, two pair of one meter Summit balanced interconnects, adaptors from single ended to balanced and some "y" adaptors. If these lengths will not work for you, please get in touch with me ASAP. I will send along four runs of NITRO speaker cable 8 feet in length and three NITRO Plus power cables 4.5 fett in length, again, please let me know about the lengths. I will send along some of the JJAZ FOD for folks to try out, and hopefully buy :D

I do ask that there be some comments posted on AC, and hopefully elsewhere, about your audition experience. The idea is to spread the word about these amps and to sell some.

I will be going out and buying a new digital camera this weekend and take some shots of the gear before it leaves here.

Johnny, The evaluation amp will be shipped back to you early next week. Thanks for the loan.

Hi Wayne,

That sounds lovely and we are very pleased that the amps worked out well..

Hopefully both the amps and speakers will get a good footage in the magasine stories from the show.

We have just completed another exhibition here in Denmark this weekend where we had our amps powering the JBL K2 speakers. It was really excellent and the danish Harman Kardon head honcho prefers our amps to the Mark Levinson they usually use. That's some nice credit to us.
