Great price!  Check out May 2015 Stereophile review.

If you put the correct spin on it, the lack of a feature is actually a feature:

"Sprout’s user interface is human, providing feedback to the user and connection to the music"

Who is Touch of Modern, and how did they get a deal to sell it so low?

True - but if I were to get something like that it would likely be for the office in lieu of an old receiver I have to power speakers.  So for desk top use it would be fine.  The only thing I might find useful in a system would be a volume control as once I set the source I just might want to adjust it for differences in levels of recorded material.

It's just a sprout, so expect to use it within close proximities (small spaces/desktops) as an introductory (younger demographic) product into the audio scene.  I prefer full functionality on the unit versus requiring a remote to access some functions (that can be lost or broken).  Plus money went into the unit and don't we already have too many remotes?   It also follows the retro concept of including phono and analog inputs.

Sorry, don't buy the user feedback/connection line.

Mine just showed up plugging in to Triad sub and GR Research LGK s.  Blue tooth works great, no volume remote, mac found it right away and sounds good out of box.   I'll let it play for a few days.
