Movie you would like to see made

Is there any movie that you would really like to be made?   For me, it is undisputably Blood Meridian, Cormac McCarthy's greatest novel IMO.  McCarthy's books are not new to movies (No Country for Old Men, The Road, The Counselor, Child of God) but this one seems the hardest to caste, in particular Judge Holden (nearly 7' tall, alopecia, pudgy, unbelievably smart and uber evil).

There have been a few attempts and I think Kubrick had entertained the idea way back when, but alas still noone has done it.

How about you?

Numerous Jack Reacher novels made into movies with someone (anyone) besides Tom Cruise as Reacher.

Any of Clive Cussler's books, but ain't gonna happen while he's above ground. they did a version of one a long time ago, he was so dissatisfied with the result he said never again. But they tried again not long ago with his Dirk Pitt book Sahara. He supposedly had final right of approval, didn't work out that way. He walked & washed his hands at the end. Matthew McConaughey is no Dirk Pitt, and Steve Zahn is certainly no Al Giordino.

I always thought it would be cool to have a film based on CS Lewis' "The Screwtape Letters", where one demon is teaching a younger demon how to corrupt and trick mankind.  :icon_twisted:

My friends and I always thought that Daemon and Freedom by Daniel Suarez would make fantastic futuristic movies. Read the books and you will agree too.

There is a book by a writer called:
THE NANO FLOWER ( http://www.amazon.com/The-Nano-Flower-Greg-Mandel/dp/0812577698 )
By Peter F Hamilton. It is one of the very best Sci fi epics ever written. Worthy an extremely good movie with say Jean Reno as the lead caracter (would be my choice...)

This book is superbly well written, the story makes for a non stop action and cleverly logical thriller with a unusual amount of surprises mixed in.
Star wars, the scene when they crash the space ship with Anakin and the Emperor on board is by the way stolen from this book... just saying...
That would be my choice.

Alternatively:

The Nephilim Trilogy by L.A Marzulli (  http://www.amazon.com/Nephilim-Trilogy-Complete-Book-Series/dp/B00GYH4DO2  )
Interestingly the earth really was populated by some 430.000 giant in the real old times (The Greeks called them Titans...)
Amazing story, and the truth to boot.

Would make a most amazing triology in silverscreen version!

The Night's Dawn Trilogy by Peter F Hamilton would be a cool series of movies.  Too big of a story to do in one, but I liked it better than the Greg Mandel series.

True true, but you have to somehow introduce and capture an audience, create a fan base...
The Nano Flower would be the one to start with...
Casting:
- morena baccarin
- Sab Shimono
- Torri Higginson
- Jean Reno
 something like that...

Any Peter F Hamilton movie would be awesome... I'm not aware of any of his masterpieces beeing made anytime soon. Such a shame!!!

I think however that if one is made, it will be Pandora's star.
It's very filmable...

Either story, A Second Chance at Eden or Escape Route could set the Universe and establish a fan base, potentially.  Both filmable.  I'd like to see Pandora's Star, too, but Night's Dawn seems to be more of a thrill-ride, which could serve as a good hook.
