Norway Will Be the First Country to Turn Off FM Radio in 2017.

Is the end of an era close in the USA? What about all the FM receivers, both old and new?

It will probably be a bit more complex in the US.  I'd imagine if it ever happened there will be adapter boxes like they had for digital TV.
