Choir Audio. Out of business???
« on: 13 Apr 2015, 02:26 am »
I have left many messages for them over the laser several weeks with no response.
Are they still in business?

If you'd like, I can send him a PM on another forum we're on.

Absolutely.  He has not responded to multiple emails I have sent to both addresses on his site. There is no phone number to call him at.  Very strange.

Ok, I'll send John a PM. I just noticed he hasn't logged on (over there) since November of 14.
If memory serves, I want to say there was some medical issue in the family, but don't quote me on that.
I'll let you know.

I've sent the PM, but now that I think about it, the email notifications on that site haven't worked in quite some time, so he might not even know he has a message.  :?

Ok.  Thank you. I really like his SUT but not having email address that work, nor having any other ways to get ahold of him is difficult. However, if there is an illness in the family....that is a special circumstance.  Thanks again.

You're welcome. I'll help however I can.
John is a great fellow and an amazing woodworker.
I'll keep you posted and let you know if I hear anything.
In the PM to him, I did link him to this thread.

Hi Guys,

Just checked their website and the turntables look like works of art.  I see an entry level version for $1500USD.

Cheers Rod

Why don't you just buy a Sound Tradition SUT?  He uses Hashimoto transformers too.  Impeccable service and product from Isao Asakura.

As it turns out, John (the owner of Choir) is doing fine. He did have some health concerns with trying to juggle a full time job and an audio business on the side. But from what I understand, he's not making turntables anymore.

That's a shame, as they were truly pieces of art and he's a great guy.
