I recently purchased an Ortofon Concorde Nightclub Mk ii cartridge for my Technics SL-1200 Mk2 turntable. I read that VTA for this cartridge is recommended at 20 degrees. What's a good method to establish VTA with precision?

Have not used one of these Concorde's in years, but I think if you follow the tried-and-true "make the arm tube parallel with the record surface" you should be fine.

I agree with Minn that arm tube parallel is the place to start and then adjust by ear.

The way mikey does it with an USB microscope. Setting it parallel and adjusting by ear  will get you close, but not with precision. BTW, I don't bother. It's too expensive and way too much trouble.
