Bryston amps | Converting a 220V to a 120V
« on: 11 Apr 2015, 09:16 pm »
Hi,

Can a xB-SST2 amp that is labelled as a 220v model be converted to a 120v model ?  (For used in Canada)

Looking at the schematic there seems to be a few jumpers about voltage selection.

Can this conversion be done by the end user or must the amp be returned to Bryston for the conversion ?

If so, can you provide an estimate of the cost ?

Thank you!

I think they can do it, but I'm certain it has to go back to Bryston.

Hi AJ

Never by the end user - too many safety concerns. :nono:
