When we debuted your particular incarnation at a small Chicago event, they stole the show. They throw a huge sound stage and perform like they think they're big floor standers. Believe me, I'd be happy with that pair too!If you were to line the two up next to each other and take measurements, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference on paper. Both exhibit exceedingly smooth and flat response, on and off axis. Both cover the musical spectrum from below 40Hz to 20KHz within a very narrow window. It's only when you get into the more subtle detail that the differences become more noticeable. Uber offers more low end peak SPL before things get a little sloppy and the refinement in the mids and tweeter range is a little more apparent at most any listening level. It took going "uber" to beat what you have, and that wasn't easy!!!
Great response! So I'm taking from that the standard Aurora at the standard price of $3895 is one hell of a speaker!
A no brainer for the price.
So does that mean we can go ahead and get started on your pair?
What are the chances of Vapor having a pair of Uber Auroras to showcase at RMAF this year? That way everybody can see if they're as good or better than the Cirrus...just a thought.
At this point I'd have to say slim. But we do have something else similar that would be new, and hence need introducing to the World
What is the realistic timeframe?
i'm hoping that the 'new' speaker will be in my listening room before RMAF...i should know about my finances in the next month or so...
How's your setup treating you? Anything new?
Maybe it's time that Ryan put together an Uber-Cirrus!
