The Audreal PA-20 amplifier's first 20 watts into eight ohms is pure Class A. After the first 20 watts of pure Class A, the PA-20 offers 6 dB of Class A/B watts up to 120 watts. The amp is made for Tailored Technology, a San Francisco Bay Area company and was designed by the owner who spent several years working for Nelson Pass and who also has a long history of working in the audio industry. There are some very favorable reviews of the amp and other products (see Fremer's review of the LP-2 phono preamp) made by the company. Information links attached below.
I have been comparing this amp to a tube amp to pair with my new speakers and I just felt that the tubes were ultimately a better match. (It was close though.) Also, my wife preferred the look of the tube amp.

The A-20 does have better extension though in the frequency extremes. I have had this amp for only about 6 weeks, so it is virtually new. Split shipping at asking price.
