Manufacture date?
« on: 27 Sep 2004, 03:06 am »
Hi, I've been wondering about the answer to this question, so I decided to post it on this forum.

(ahem)

How do you determine the manufacturing date of a Bryston component?  I have an old Bryston 4b, but cannot find the date of manufacture on it, nor is there a date on the Final check out sheet.

Just curious. (Yes, it's still under warranty, it's approx. 15 years old).

James the older amplifiers didn't have any date code on them, the only way to determine the date of manufacture is by getting the serial number and checking the cards.

Checking the cards?   Man, now I really feel old.
I just assumed that todays Bryston amp's were marked the same way. I realized my mistake when I examined the 9BSST I just got the other day.  I'm glad to see you guys also date the Final Checkout Sheet now.
