Most have no idea what real performance-oriented line conditioners will do to a playback system's level of musicality. For those who do have experience with proper or superior line conditioners, can tolerate listening to a playback system that does not include PROPER line conditioning, for maybe 10 minutes max.

I emphasize the word "proper" to imply that there are many improper or inferfior line conditioners on the market. Some-to-many line conditioners do nothing or worse induce their own sonic harm, hence, finding a truely superior line conditioner that actually cleanses or purifies the noisy AC is like looking for a needle in a haystack. The amount of inferior line conditioners is so great that here we are 16 years after their introduction, and most still believe they have no need for line conditioners. That's only because they've never tried line conditioning, or most likely they tried some of the abudantly inferior but popular name-brand line conditioners that made their system sound worse and concluded all line conditioners must be the same. First rule. The more popular the name brand of a line conditioner, the greater the probability that it's inferior. Not sure why this is.

In addition to purifying the noisy AC exceedingly well, the LC-100 is passive (draws no current to itself), dedicated, and bi-directional filtering. Moreover, the LC-100 is 100 Amp current capable and was built especially to handle the the current draw of the world's biggest amplifiers.

Foundation Research has been defunct for several years now so that makes this LC-100 a very rare find. If you have any experience with any version of the Foundation Research line conditioners, especially this latest version, you probably already know its true value and even at this price is a bargain. Especially since there are none out there for sale anywhere in the world from what I can tell.

If you don't have a high current drawing amp, you can always connect a quality-oriented audio-grade power strip and plug all your analog equipment into the power strip for equal conditioning. Yes, you can also plug in all your digital and analog components into that same power strip. Just note that since the power strip is inserted after the LC-100, there is a small amount of bi-directional digital noise your digital components will be sharing amongst all equipment plugged into the same power strip. But even in such a slightly compromised config, the sonic benefits of using the LC-100 on all equipment will far outweigh not utilizing the LC-100 on any one component.
