They have been an excellent performers in a dedicated 2 channel system. I specified an upgraded WBT binding post for better sonic performance. These posts were recommended by WBT as well as VH Audio for their excellent sonic performance. The Carbon 7 Special Edition is a dramatic performance increase over the Carbon 7 due to latest Scan Speak drivers. The Series crossover is legendary and these speakers easily outperformed several $6000 stand mount speakers from the large volume manufacturers. I chose them for the excellent performance as well as there “friendliness” with solid state and tube amplifiers as the design has a stable impedance curve that is easy to drive. Never installed the magnetically attached grills - perfect condition.
