This recently released CD after Ray's sad departure is an absolutely must have CD. Its a CD of Ray's duets with some of the best in the business. Duets with the following singers:
1. Nora Jones
2. James Taylor
3. Dianna Krall
4. Elton John
5. Natalie Cole
6. Bonnie Raitt
7. Willie Nelson
8. Micheal McDonald
9. B.B. King
10. Gladys Knight
11. Johnny Mathis
12. Van Morrison
Folks int don't get better than this. Pick it up!

I think that you are referring to Genius Loves Company - Concord Records - B0002F7I9Y
I just bought it - Great!
I highly suggest a few others:
DCC GZS-1050 - Ray Charles and Betty Carter
DCC GZS-1027 - Ray Charles - Ingrediants in a Recipe for Soul

On a related note, "Ray" will be a fall theatrical release featuring Jamie Foxx

Of course its brilliant its Ray Charles! This is the guy who invented soul music, not the antiseptic stuff we get today but was taken up by the likes of Otis Reading (what a singer), James Brown etc etc.
Anyone know if its out on vinyl?

they said he sounded drunk and it was a weak release. WRONG! i waited out the delivery time from deepdiscountcd.com and got it cheeeeep and the wait was WORTH IT!
the guy was quickly drowned out however by those that had heard it and those that went out and found it locally (i couldnt).
WHY though, did it come in a dvda box? at least mine did and thats what was mentioned as available at frys on the other site.
