Dear Dave,
Thank you for the notification. How you manage to ferret out all these sales is just beyond me.
I just can't make it on Sunday. I have a big meeting with the tax man. Besides, your description is correct: a "killer" auction. It would kill my checking account. Especially those books. I sold over 500 pounds of scores about 10 years ago, just to make room in my house. I don't need to bring 50 pounds of books back in here, but I know if I were there, I would buy some of those lots--especially the Beethoven ones.
I note there is a Slingerland archtop electric guitar! I never, ever knew Slingerland made a guitar. Back in my early rock-'n-roll days, the drummers who could not afford Ludwig's played Slingerland. I saw hundreds of Slingerland trap sets, but never a guitar of any kind. One more thing I've learned by delving into the past.
Thank you for the news. Maybe next time!
All the best,
Francis Baumli
