Effects of Furniture Material

Long time Forum lurker, have some GIK Panels. Starting to plan my new listening room in my house being built this Spring. I'm starting to plan the furniture set-up.
I plan on going with one love seat, something from La-z-boy. I wanted to go with leather but have heard negative things about acoustics and leather. I want to get the facts. Is leather reflective at high frequencies, or is this a myth?
Edit: Just noticed that there is an Acoustics Circle, feel free to move thread.
I did find this thread:

No it is not a myth. You can try this for yourself with a heavy blanket over leather.
