Model T & Hi Def Music

One very good reason for wanting and having Model T passive & signature speakers is Hi Definition music as well as spectacular imaging, for those of us who like to crank it. :P

Why? Because of the multiple drivers, which are better able to cope with heat that Hi Definition music is sure to generate. You need to know before you crank it that your speaker can handle it.

With one of my bookshelf speakers for example, I was playing Arriving Somewhere by Porcupine Tree. And it didn't take long for the woofer to seize up from the heat. The amps showed no indication of clipping distortion. Fortunately the speaker was still under warranty at the time.

Most songs aren't Hi Def but its coming and you want a speaker that can handle the heat. :smoke:

When the music hits the speaker it is analog.  Wondering why hi def would have any effect?

Because there is more detail in recorded music than we hear. Higher definition brings that out, thus the speakers are working harder to produce that detail. :smoke:
