Late last year i bought an akido based preamp designed and built by a DFW based tube designer, Blair Chapman to drive my dynaudio powered monitors. Shortly afterwards, I bought a remote controlled preamp with a DAC and built in headphone amp as most of my listening was at late nights via headphones (9 month old at home). Asking for $300, local buyer preferred greatly.
This is Aikido based preamp with four RCA clear top 12AU7s. 3 inputs, 1 output, WBT RCAs, isolated regulated filament supply, Nichicon power supply caps, and 16ga steel top plate. It sounds absolutely fantastic. No remote though.
