I thought Tool was slated to release an album last year and the year prior to that. It has been almost 9 years since their last album. The intervening time frame has been longer than that of the Beatles entire career. The pressure is on and expectations are high. The band knows it. Personally, I don't think they will make another album after this.

Wow, how time flies.  Didn't realize it was 9 years.  Yeah that is a long gap.  I was always used to it having been a fan since HS (grad'd in '93).  They are on record for saying it has taken so long because of perfectionism together with litigation problems.   I think Maynard is a bit tired of waiting, since he just lays down the lyrics, but isn't so much involved in the overall process AFAIK.

I'm a pretty big fan of My Morning Jacket, I have read that they have two albums worth of material. One album this year, and one to follow in 2016. Also Jim James who leads the band should have a solo album to follow up his last masterpiece.
Radiohead for sure. I loved Arcade Fires' last album so I look forward to a solo album from Will. Thanks Josh.
There are a few more I will list later.

Early B.

I was a fan of MMJ with Z and It Still Moves but hated Evil Urges.  I couldn't get past the vocals and I am not a fan of prince. Is the last album released, Circuital like EU or like prior releases?

YES! Pre-ordered her debut solo album in order to get an autographed picture. This woman can sing. I was privileged to see her a few months ago and I can't tell you which I was more impressed with, her singing, her banjo playing, cello playing or fiddle playing. She's got it all.

Only about a month to go on the Steve Wilson!

He might have a hard time topping the near brilliant "The Raven That Refused to Sing", but I'm sure it will still be a great release.

The Kerzner release has a lot of promise. The sample I've heard sound real good.

The great prog/prog-metal band, Haken has a new one due in 2015. Not much more info is available on it. But if it is close to the quality of "The Mountain" (2013), it will be great.

The best prog band from Poland, Riverside, has a new one coming out in 2015 called "Love, Fear and the Time Machine". Really looking forward to this one, as they just seem to keep improving with each of their  previous 5 releases.

King Crimson - Live at the Orpheum

I was at this concert a few months ago, and it was a killer!

So glad they decided to release it as a live CD.

Have you guys seen this?

Hand. Cannot. Erase. Teaser (Youtube link) Safe for work.

And there's also a blog written from the perspective of the central character in the album - www.handcannoterase.com (NOT safe for work).

I will definitely be getting this album. Didn't know of Riverside's new up coming album. Will keep an eye out on that too.

I've joined a recent Kenny Loggins Kickstarter started last year. They are promising an album this year. The teaser tracks sound great, and I've always enjoyed Kenny's singing and songwriting.

Besides the hopeful release of a new Tool album, I look forward to Faith No More's new release. The first album done together without outside influence or censor. I dream of a re-release of Loveage on vinyl...
