**Broken and For Sale again** Tortuga Preamp

Fully functional unit just back from Tortuga.  Works great.

Solid silver wiring, upgraded silver plated outputs, Apple remote, cool case.

$600 this is less than the cost of the materials from Tortuga and does not account for the additional items I added and the labor.

Sold it functioning.  It arrived dead.  Had it shipped back and I can hear it turn on but with a bad display I cannot tell what mode it is in.  Probably needs another new display board.  I'm really tired of messing with this thing.  If someone wants to play with it and make it work, it will certainly be less than all the parts cost to do so.

First $200 takes it.  NO RETURNS!!!

I would be interested in the case if you have trouble selling this.

I already have a working balanced version but like your chassis.

Did you purchase it or make it yourself?

Why not just send the whole thing down to Tortuga and get it working?

For sale again - not functioning, again.  Ridiculous.  If you want to repair a unit for less than the costs of all new components, this might be your ticket.  $200, NO RETURNS!!!!

I have well over $600 in this venture and want no part of spending more money to repair this again.

Tortuga
I'm confused.  Why not send it back again or ask Morten to replace whichever part is the issue.

I just spent $140 to have the last repair done and thought it was going to stay in good shape.  I'm not spending another $140 to have another repair done.  That will put me in near $900 for something I'm not wanting.

OK, there must be more to it.  If you spent $140 for it to work it should work.  If not, send it back and he should take care of it.  Guess there's something missing.

Maybe the "something" is that this a D.I.Y. pre and not a stock Tortuga preamp.
