Some pics of my 1977 SE T/A Bandit.  Original owner ordered from the Dealer, Hard Top Version (rare - only 382 made, the Hurst Hatch's leaked and are not good for the structure), 400 ci Pontiac Block with 4 speed, SD 455 rods, ported Ram Air III heads, HO 500+" lift cam, Holly Single Plane Intake, Demon 820 annular carb, Scorpion 1.65 roller rockers, Serpentine Belt conversion, MSD 6 Digital Ignition + Timing Computer and locked out HEI, Big Shot Nitrous with "machine gun" purge, Herb Adams Custom Oil Pan with 4 remote filters, HD sway bars. Racing Evac system, custom 3" Pypes exhaust with electric cutouts, braced 10 bolt rear with 4:11 gears, tubular control arms with double adjust shocks, Wilwood 6 piston brakes and 4 piston SSBC rears, custom pearled 16" formula wheels (can't fit big brakes on 14" wheels) custom wiring with control switch's, million color programmable LEDs front/back/sides/wheel wells, and so forth. 
Car was stored for 25 years, and restored/modified and re-painted/decaled in my garage over a number of years. I did all of the work. Turned into strictly a occasional cruiser and show circuit car.  It's fast for old technology, but my 2010 modified Camaro SS is just brutal.  Currently restoring my 1973 LT Camaro into Pro Street Mod.

Tell ya what man, That's just awesome. Down to the core of my soul, that's just badass.
As they say, I've give my left......____......Well, I'd give them both for that car. Pure amazing.
But those LED's gotta go dude. That's not just a different decade, that's a different century.

Well we all have different tastes for cars just like for audio and music.  I grew up in the Hot Rod era, where the first thing we all did was modify our cars, so the car looks stock on the outside, but is highly modified everywhere else.  Back then 200 HP which the stock Pontiac engine had in a heavy 3600lb car was plain anemic, although the torque was OK.  So why not double it, and triple it with a with a shot of nitrous.  Most "Stock" cars except really rare ones at car shows get a nod and a quick walk by, but the eye candy gets crowds.  The LEDs - yeah I know, they are seldom used (park in the dark), and really for the Tuner crowd.  As the original owner, I will NEVER sell this car, so I don't give a RA about value.

The other cars - I retired this year and had to give up my company car so bought a 2010 SS Camaro with the LS3 6 speed as the summer driver.  Of course 426 HP is never enough so started with Stainless Headers, Borla Atak exhaust, Cold Air Box, and a Phasetek Dyno Tune.  And I thought the Bandit was fast, this car just rips.  Next is the Supercharger Package for 700 HP and a Z/TA Bandit Conversion kit, and custom paint. 

The '73 Camaro is a work in progress, bought the car over 25 years ago as a wreck, and started in on it this summer.  Fiberglass panels, built 350 SBC, and lots of the same stuff as the T/A.  Phase 1 was getting the car running and sorted out before custom paint (mission accomplished), and then the last pic attached is the blower package I have and mocked up so it can be "bolted" on at a later date.

Man, looking at the old Camaro going together was like déjà vu...

Way back when I was 19 I bought an empty beat up hull of an old Camaro and from little more than a frame and some rear quarter panels (that were beat up) I built a car out of it. I dug up some old pics.

Work started on the rear end.



It got a full cage and new fiberglass body parts.



I took the engine and transmission out of the Camaro that I drove to high school every day to put into the new striped down one.



A 20 year old me after the cars first trip to the local drag strip.



In my mind I am still that 20 year old kid that has his head stuck into building hot rods. Some things will never change I guess.

Geez Danny - our Camaros are lookalikes!  Way Cool....  Beauty of a Chevy are all of the parts are available and cost lots less than other vehicle lines.  I went with fiberglass hood, doors, fenders, front end, and flares since the original sheet metal was trash and it makes the car lots lighter.  A F car door weighs over 100 lbs.  You look pretty damn serious in that photo.

On the 2010 Camaro, I locked in on a used one for a few reasons - let someone else take the depreciation, and you can't modify a new car under warranty.  Z/TA conversions are quite a cool package, you get new hood, scoop, fenders, fascias, and rockers, and whala - you have a Trans Amified Camaro.  Paint it black metallic metajouls with fine gold flake, buy the Phoenix German Gold Stripes and Bird Graphic Kit, and you have a Bandit.  I'm thinking both Bandits at the car shows will really get some attention!

Dropping weight is the best way to go fast.    It was pretty light even with the big block.

Those pics were taken about 28 and a half years ago. I was just kid.

You got it right Bob.  Pop in the Escort radar detector, turn off the traction control, and let 'er rip.  Makes a trip to the Home Depot or O'Rileys Auto store an adventure.  And Danny - if figured it was an "older" pic of you, as I was about the same age when I purchased the T/A and 73 Camaro.  I just managed never to sell them....
