Is 250 ohms close enough for the 220 resistors?

I don't think they are close enough. I would suggest you use 1% tolerance resistors, 250 is off by more than 10%.

The 220s are critical, I used Rikens.

It is nice to use good parts everywhere in the circuit. But the 220 ohm resistors are merely grid stoppers. They are there to damp any RF or other super-ultrasonic instability. Sure, they carry signal, but I think have much less impact than the plate resistors.

The value of 250 ohms is ok in this particular application.

Which components are the best places in which to use upgraded parts (in addition to C6 Auricap) if one wished to tweak-out his Cornet?

2)  Output coupling cap
3)  Constant current sink
4)  Coupling cap between stages
5)  370BX
6)  EQ caps
7)  Plate resistors
8)  Electrolytic & bypass caps
9)  Cathode resistors
10) EQ resistors

And let's not forget chassis damping, power cord, connectors, cooling ventilation, stray magnetic fields, clean ac power, etc. There's a lot to play around with for system synergy.
