For sale is my Primare P30 pre-processor that I've owned for years. Primare has been around for decades and the P30 is a music first approach to Home Theater and unlike many pre/procecessors, excells in musicality. How musical you might ask? I've owned or auditioned maybe 15 preamps over the past 12 years ranging in price from $800 to $10,000. Including but not limited to the Ayre K3-x ($3.5k), Pass Labs X-1 ($6k) and Pass Labs X2.5 ($4k), Chapter Preface ($10k), Placette Active Linestage (twice and $4k), Conrad Johnson ($2k), Electrocompaniet ($2k), Nuforce ($800), and others.
The P30 was easily more musical than some of the above and matched the best of the above. Since the P30's performance matched or exceeded all of the above and because the P30's egonomics were always superior, I stayed with the P30 over all the others.
I've only used the P30 in 2-channel by-pass mode with the digital off and XLR inputs and outputs and hence I have no idea if the 5.1 config works or not and I offer no guarantee there. Hook up a little TV or monitor for initial config. to ensure everything e.g. digital, surround configs, display, etc. is off but the 2-channel mode. Chances are excellent it will meet or exceed a majority of high-end 2-channel preamps available today. It really is that good.
The Primare P30 comes with Primare's universal C22 which is not quite as intuitive as the original remote but works well.
The white specs in the photos are lint from the cloth I used to dust the unit.
New the P30 sold for $4200. Selling for $650 obo only because of age. It's performance remains outstanding as does its condition.
I will pay paypal fees and buyer pays shipping and insurance fees.
Original remote was lost a long time ago and this is a newer universal Primare remote.
Includes manua and remotel. Does not include original box or power cable.
