From the website it is a new color option, not a replacement.  HT guys can still get their slinky LBSs (little black speakers).

What you thought you meant was not what I thought you meant.    I read it entirely differently.

"Just no longer the black and rose gold 50th Anniversary Model."  Along with "new" made me interpret it like the black ones had been replaced even though I already knew they had not been. I put the clarification in for others who might have gotten confused.

How about  back with the blue driver....I think that would be a nice option.  The copper stands out too much for me.

  Actually, I read your comment a couple of times too and was like, .......maybe he was just pointing out that you can ALSO get white, which was what I thought I basically said.....and I did say "Same speaker" clearly, so.......

Oh well. It's all good. It's one of those dumb things where I sometimes try to "talk" casual via type and it doesn't quite work the way I intend.

I thought about that too. That'd look cool, but I'm kinda tired of seeing the LS50's in black. The white is a very nice change. How about a deep metallic gray with blue drivers? I can't help but think the LS50's would continue to sell like hot cakes if they had maybe 5 of the color options offered on the Blades.

Look at the custom KEF Foundry color combinations for the new Kef 'The Reference' - they use the black with copper and white with blue. That's where these are coming from.
