I remember his wit. Many PM's exchanged when I bought his VPI HW-19. Lots of advice always with a wry sense of humor.

Never met in person, but can't say how much he's missed around these parts.  Knew him from another site and he was the first to guide me through this one.  In a site filled with wonderful people, his absence leaves it noticeably emptier.

The chair guy was the ambassador of kindness around here and all the exchanges between he and I always made me feel good. His time is over. I miss him. We all need to be thankful that we still get to tinker in audio. It's a great time to be in this hobby. Technology is giving us new ways to enjoy it. The old school stuff still does an incredible job. Be thankful, all of you. You never know.

Agreed!

Here John is front and center at my place back in 2005 or 2006...

I was one of the lucky ones to have known John and be his friend!  He is one of the warmest of persons I've ever met!  RIP my friend.  We all miss you.

John helped guide me through my first attempt to install a cartridge, and he was my go to guy for advice on anything vinyl.  His generous spirit is missed here at AC.

John truly was a nice guy and I think of him every time I use my Magna Cart, what a great product!  His sharp wit and good humor are missed at AC.

Thanks for the remembrance!
I first met John at Sonny's meetup (i'm way in the back against the wall, in the pic with John on the sofa). He was a great part of AudioCircle when I first joined up! As always, it's a bummer he's not around for his family and friends.

Cheers John!!

We all need to exhibit a little "chair-guy" kindness and compassion for those around us. Especially to the noobs and those less fortunate than ourselves.

Lovely welcoming chap, and one of the first people I interacted on joining AC - sorely missed.
