Because of the smaller size of my listening room, and the issues the room has with bass, I have decided to sell my Line Source 6's, and move onto something more suited for my listening environment.
My new speakers are set to arrive in early/mid January, so I am posting these speakers now to see if anyone is interested in them.
These are a great set of speakers. They present a huge soundstage with a beautiful wall of sound, and limitless dynamics. They are equally well suited for both music and HT.
I have used them in a dedicated listening room since their arrival in 2009.
This pair is particularly unique, because they were retrofitted with a custom external crossover by Bill Baker of Response Audio. The crossovers use Clarity Caps throughout, with the SA line taking care of the bass, and the ESA (with bypass caps selected by Bill) covering the high portion of the crossover. Inductors are a combination of Mundorf and Erse. They are fitted in a wooden crossover housing, with an acrylic top and bottom so you can admire Bill's handy work.
If you have ever wanted a pair of LS6s, these are a great deal. The kit alone runs $2000 from GR Research, and stock is limited.
I am asking $2500 for the entire system, speakers and external crossovers.
Because of their giant size, weight, and the crossovers, at this time I am only entertaining pick up. I am located in the NY/NJ/PA/DE region.
