I like the idea of the metal bars, am tired of worrying about sagging shelves.
They don't make the big Music Direct rack anymore and I'm too far from IKEA!

Order the IKEA Kallax shelves on line. That is what I did after looking at them when I was in Portland. Very similar to expedit.

Can you link which exact Kallax shelves you are using for LPs. Also approx how many Lps can you cut in each one? Thanks

Yeah, for the price you cannot beat the Expedite from IKEA. I believe they went up in price a short time ago, but still for the price.........

IKEA no longer makes or sells the Expedit shelves. They replaced Expedit with Kallax. Here is the unit I bought. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10275862/ Waiting on delivery. The specs say each shelf holds 29 lbs and is 16.5" wide and 15.375" deep. $139 for the 16 bin unit.

I knew something was different about the IKEA shelf, thanks. They look the same, but the price is much higher then about even 2-3 years ago. Definitely do not fill them to the brim, if you go that big.
