I’m selling my pair of Bottlehead Paramount amps. I originally built with the 12AT7 driver tube. I sent them to the Bottlehead headquarters where they converted them to full shunt regulation. Though this configuration never made it to production, because they felt that it was too complicated and a very tight fit with the Camille Cascode Constant Current Source (C4S) and full shunt regulation. It is without a doubt a sweet sounding amp.

After the conversion to full shunt regulation the drive tube was changed from the 12AT7 to the 6DN7. The first section (driver) has the C4S and the second section is used for the full shunt regulation. The paramount amps only use shunt regulation for on the driver tube. One of the critical requirements for great sounding music is the power supply in the equipment being used. That is what this design brings, in addition to the already wonderfully designed signal path.

The amps were built with a few upgrades. The parafeed caps are Mondurf 3.3uF silver/oil, coupling caps Auricap, shunt reg Sonicap platinum Teflon caps, Teflon 4 pin tube sockets, and Cardas binding posts.

The original electronic manual is included, as well as the tubes. These are GE 6DN7 and Shuguang 2A3C tubes.
