Now this I understand.  :thumb:

I'll check every model. Perhaps I'll take stealth photos of each to post here.

That would be great if you could  :D
It would help many others.
Glad my pic helped BTW.

BTW, Bosch did a good job making the outside of their router look good by those sweat looking wood handles, but missed it on the inside construction of their bases IMO
Should have spent the time machining the inside of the bases instead of making the outside look pretty.

I'm getting the impression power tools such as routers are only available at HD or Sears. I've checked just about every hardware store, farm supply, and power tools shop in my area and no one has routers. Must I buy from HD? Or is Amazon better?

Sigh. Okay, I'll compare models in HD, take pics, and write down prices. Then, I'll check Amazon.com to see if I can save some money.

It'll take me a few days to accomplish this as I must care for my parents tomorrow. They're just at the cusp where our respective roles are about to reverse. It is rewarding, but...difficult to deal with at times.

Enjoy life, folks. We get just one try.

Like this.
I just put an 1/8 steel dowel thru the holes I want to use.
If I need more diameters I just drill new holes in the plastic.
Works great  :thumb:

Just to get your creative juices flowing, here's the most creative use of a router I've ever seen.
Just amazing that somebody came up with this:

By the way, this guy has quite a few videos that are very helpful.

I thought that the question was about "Computer Routers"

(Now that I realize which "Routers" were meant, I've had a couple "Computer Routers" that I definitely would have liked to used a
big old Plunge Router on... I'll give you a "can't connect:server stopped working" !!!)*

If you're really interested in some very nice woodworking tools go to www.lmii.com. (I could happily spend thousands upon thousands of dollars over there "could I afford to do so")

LOL! Now that you mention it, the title does seem to be asking about computer routers. I was so focused on the power tool meaning that it hadn't occurred to me.  :duh:

I'm getting the impression power tools such as routers are only available at HD or Sears.

Check for a woodworking store in your neighborhood. Look for Rockler, Woodworkers Supply, Woodcraft, Klingspor. These are all large companies with stores or franchises around the country, selling woodworking equipment to hobbyists. There will also undoubtedly be small local stores. Depends how big your town is. Mine is only 1mil and we have many lumber and tool shops.

Sears sells many different brands now, not just Craftsman. They often have sales with ridiculous prices, so it's worth a check.

The big guys, like the orange store and lowes, might have deals in their Black Friday sales, worth a look.

Rockler and Woodcraft might be having sales too.

And I agree with Richidoo, they are both nationwide, and worth checking out.

I hadn't considered going to Sears as I had assumed it sold Craftsman and no other brands. Geez. Just last night I was in a mall with a Sears.  :duh:

The massive metropolis that is my home holds 60,000 humans and 25,000 wild eyed university students who call themselves 'Beavers'. I've heard rumors of humanity within the second group, but it's difficult to believe on Friday and Saturday nights.  :icon_lol:

There is a "Woodcraft" store 50 miles to the south. I will be there on Sunday to visit my wild-eyed son who calls himself a 'Duck'.

Thanks, Randy and Rich!

I had stayed away as I also though this post was on Dial up ISP.

I have a Router you can borrow Saturday if you want.  It is a Vintage plain Jane.

I also have vintage Plane Jane First Aid Kit. :thumb:

And I live in the middle of the Beaver Duck conflagration? Or is it a Confluence of the river
