I just completed building my windows based network music streamer.

I love Balanced Audio Technology and have full BAT setup. I wanted a music streamer that matches my other BAT components. Therefore, I build a CAPS (I wanted to call it RexStream. Please don't sue me for using BAT's product name "Rex") inside a BAT VK-P5 phono stage chassis (purchased brand new directly from BAT).

This streamer features:
ASUS H97 mini-ITX board
Intel i7 CPU
16GB RAM
120GB M.2 SATA SSD (installed underside of the motherboard)
HDPLEX Linear Power Supply (dual rails 19V and 12V), HDPLEX 250W Hi-Fi DC-ATX Power Supply, HDPLEX passive cooling heatsink system.
Pink Faun (Tripple M Audio Shop) i2S bridge audio card
Pink Faun i2S (HDMI) cable (internal, from audio card to the panel mount HDMI)
Neurik RJ45 panel mount, Neutrik HDMI panel mount.

Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit
Pink Faun AudiophileOptimizer. (to reduce processes and threats, reducing noise and enhance sound)
JRiver Media Center. (The user will need to purchase their own license)

There is no internal storage for music files. I stored all music on a NAS which is located in a different room as I don't want spinning hard drive in the listening room. The user can add SATA HDD or SSD later to store music locally.

I use i2S output. But the USB output is available (require panel mount USB connector). I use this streamer with North Star Excelsio DAC (Pink Faun made a special i2S cable for me to connect to North Star i2S input via RJ45). It is compatible with many other i2S DAC.

I am very happy with my build. It performs perfectly. Personal issues force me selling my audio gears (Please see my ads for BAT VK-31 preamp and Marantz SACD player).
If you are interested and able to reimburse me $3,000 costs to build it. I am willing to let it go.
It is pricey! I know. The majority of the costs went into the expensive BAT chassis. But if you build your own CAPS Zuma with linear power supply and SOtM audio card, the costs will be close.
