You won't believe it rockadanny, but I just landed a pair of used Audio Mirror SET 45s.  Found a great deal on usaudiomart last night and was able to audition them at the home of the seller, who just happened to be relatively local.  I just set them up and initial impressions in my home system are very positive.  Thanks so much for the recommendation!

And thank you, FullRangeMan, for making the initial suggestion!  The seller threw in a couple extra 6sl7s, which was nice of him.

Congrats jawks!
Do they have a toggle switch between the transformers?
Used to power either just the 6c33 heater elements or as normal?

Thanks, rockadanny!  Yes, they have the toggle switch.  The seller informed me that you hit the toggle when you want to warm up a new tube.  He also told me that he had the units upgraded with the autobias circuit.  Listening to Thelonious Monk live on these amps and the sound is awesome.

Cool! Warning - when done burning in new tube(s) on heater element only, power down the amp BEFORE flipping that toggle switch to normal operating position. Glad you like them so far. They are special.

Yes, especially useful for new 6c33 tubes. Switch to heater element only on for 24 hrs. Power off. Switch to normal operation. Power back on, and new power tubes more safely burned in and ready for music!

Thanks, rockadanny.  By the way, I've had these for just about a week now and they continue to amaze me.  What a sound.  I haven't had this much listening enjoyment from my system for a long time.

I listen to mostly classical and jazz, but the other night I just put on a London LP of Al Green from the 1970s ... now that was some serious soul.  Listening to James Taylor's Sweet Baby James was another ear opening experience.  I'd never thought of this LP as being "audiophile" but it was incredibly transparent and lifelike with the Audio Mirrors.
