Please let me know if you have a matched pair of Tung Sol Black Glass 12AU7's that you would like to sell. Tubes must not have any issues; shorts, gas, noise, microphonics, etc.

FYI, the Amprex Bugle Boy from the late 50's early 60's (large ring getter short plate) as well as the Amperex 7316 sound very similar to the TS Black Glass, IMO. All of these are getting very tough to find in decent shape or even NOS.

Can you get away with using a 12BH7? I have some nice NOS black plate tung sol's, but they pull double the heater current. My favorite 12BH7. Not dark like the RCA or bright like the Sylvania's. Really nice tubes, and they are quiet also.

If you can use these, you will get a more dimensional sound vs a 12AU7.
