finally, a room worth fixing

hello,

io have just moved into a new appartment i may actually be able to live in for more than a few months

i've got my system set up on the long wall... oh who am i kidding. i havn't a clue when it comes to room accoustics. where do i start  (keeping in mind i perfer diy to high priced highpriced audio).

the room is large, 14'x22'. in the center of the long wall i have two minimonitors about 8' apart 3' from the wall behind them with a sub inbetween them.  i use a small recliner for listening and there's a couch on the far wall.

it's an older appartment; the floor is all hardwood and the walls and the cieling meet at a radius not right angles.

the girlfriend might let me change placement a bit but i'd rather start with treatments.  what to do... what to do?

The geometry seems reasonable, although somemight argue long wall versus narrow wall set-up).  Having a sub helps tune response to the room and offers speaker location flexibility.

So, what's your compliants?
