Cary Audio 805AE SET? ... Opinions and anyone have a pair?

I am thinking about buying a clean, used pair of Cary Audio 805AE SET amps. Any opinion if I should or think about something else? I've never heard them but friends who have, loved them.

300B drive a 211 do a great sound quality, otherwise two expensive tubes, if funds not a prob seems a nice buy.

Some MingDa 211 and 805 amps are similar or copy to this Cary.
