Very well made, nice layout, solid and attractive steel chassis. (In fact, the chassis is a vintage PSE preamp chassis, updated with a new faceplate and Audio Additives damping material.)

Mundorf Supreme coupling caps, teflon-insulated wire, Cardas jacks. Quiet and musical. Tubes are 12B4, which are relatively inexpensive and also underrated.
Not sure about the original design, but no doubt the builder and his friends made a few tweaks and upgrades to the original.

That lone RCA jack on the rear panel is a ground. I used it when I had a REL subwoofer + digital amp, and the REL required a special cable that grounded to the preamp.
