Encore is having a mini- Anthony Hopkins film festival and showed "84 Charing Cross" this morning (replays later this month). Highly recommended for anyone who likes his "Remains of the Day" or "Howard's End" work: it adapts the true story of American Helene Hanff's letters to Brit book dealer played by (played by Anne Bancroft & Hopkins, respectively).
Not exactly easy to adapt a book about writing letters about books, but I'd give it 2 7/8 stars and a thumbs-up!
