The Mini Beast is a single ended, class A triode, OTL stereo amp with a 100K hz bandwidth. 4w output and can be wired for 12w. Also 220-240V.
Driver tubes upgraded to EH gold pins w/ cryo treatment for long life and better sound, outputs are octal based EL 509. Amp has a soft start feature for even longer tube life. Extremely quiet with no adjustments, calibrations or tube bias ever needed. NO hum. This is a real plug and play OTL.
I completed the kit 8 weeks ago and used it 60-70 hours. Save yourself 30 or more assembly hours or $400+ to have one built for you. I have $1200 in it but will let it go for a bit less..
Works perfectly w/ no pops, crackles, buzzes or other strange noises.
Time to move on to my next project so this guy has to go.
REDUCED TO $1050 or possible trade for recent Omega speakers.
Prefer SF bay area pick up but can ship at additional cost.
