Just picked up this CD tonight. There are a couple guys, down the street who run a used CD and records shop. They bring in some new CDs as well and I bought it... since I have been a casual Floyd fan for a few decades. I like it. These guys can still make very fine music. As far as I'm concerned worlds better than much of the crappy bands today.
Seems like some old Floyd with a few new twists. Some new musical influences... are there. I know there are some strong criticism of this new album. I see it as honest and true to the bands music. This band has grown and changed over the years..... I see this album as doing the same. Some nice sax in there, some same guitar licks and yes the Division Bell is there everywhere too. A tribute to Rick Wright?? I can see that and I can hear it too.
It seems to be produced, mixed very well?? It sounded great on my stereo, for what it's worth.
