Vintage Dual TT
« on: 16 Sep 2014, 06:36 pm »
Sort of a cross post here (similar in the Vinyl forum).

Anybody know which is the better TT from Dual between the CS601 and the 1237? I'm leaning towards the 601 based on whatever info I could find from google, which was minimal at best.

Also how would either of these compare to  a Visonik, a Sansui SR-2050c,  or Miracord ELAC 40A Realistic?

Trying to get my toes wet with a low cost vintage TT.

Thanks!

I ended up getting the 601. Looking good after a little cleaning up:

It came with a vintage Empire 4000 D/II cart, but I am unsure of the condition of the stylus and OEMs I see are hard to come by. I have a Denon Dl-110 on order. I hope that will be a good match.

I had a 701 (702?) for around 20 years with a Stanton 881S and I just loved that old thing.
Let us know how it works out for you, please.
