Had one that was in good condition.
Drilled holes in it to fit a linear I was working on.
Worked well, decided that the linear needed a better
table. Bought a SP-15, built a huge slate plinth for it.
Now I had a Planer 3 that looked like it had gone through a war.
What to do......hmmm
Took some of the left over slate (1" pool table), made 2 pcs "L" shaped
Bond them together, Piece of 4" Padauk, also left over from the SP-15 build.
Cross the wood slightly on the slate, made a base for the planer motor from
more slate and Padauk laying a round.....then little spit, polish and pinstipes.
Sounds VERY nice, better? cant recall, but I think just as good.
Looks trendy, been trying to get a TT in the living room, wife gave the nod....yeah!
