Hi James and everyone
Someone just gave me an 'AC filter' of some sort , it's a 30A rated corcom filter unit (local voltage is 230V) in a home made box with AC in and outlets and a thermal braker rated 32A , pretty basic but seem rather well constructed and passed the tests done by a qualified electrician. But still, before I plug it in maybe I should ask around first...
My question is, can this be used in between my socket board and wall outlet as some sort of isolation/purifier ? Will there be any negative effects or risks on my gears? (2x 14SST2 + BP26 plus DAC and CDP etc.) . As far as I know such 'filters' is best used at the source of the interferience but I live in a tall apartment building where power distribution is a huge complicated network.....
I never used any type of isolation or purifier in my system because I always thought it's best to keep the path as short as possible.. So this is uncharted land.....
Thanks

EDIT: already searched the forums but there's no clear answer..
