Anybody who uses (and loves) Z-Sleeves knows that they can put stress on cables because of their weight. The cotton string that most everyone uses works okay, but can move, stretch and sometime just look ugly.
I found a way of supporting the sleeves with a laboratory rack that normally holds beakers and lab flasks. I got it here:
http://www.crscientific.com/ringstands.htmlI ordered the stand, six C300 clamps, and 6 C650 clamp holders for under $100. It works terrific behind my existing audio rack. The clamps are aluminum, with a cork clamping surface. It takes all of the strain off of my interconnects, makes it easy to position the sleeves, and I swear I can hear the benefit!
Cheers!
