Hi all,

Does anyone have experiences with using the ZX-1 as a digital source into an amp, or /w an external DAC? There are Sony WM port adapters available, but I'm not sure how the hookup actually works. For example, how does the ZX-1 know that it's to be used in these two scenarios:

1) As a source using the internal DAC feeding into an amp
2) As a source not using the internal DAC feeding into an external DAC

I understand the ZX-1 is optimised for portable headphones, e.g. IEMs, but how is the quality of the DAC in terms of integrating into a full speaker setup.

I'm interested on this too. People focus on his performance as a portable device, but given the specs it will make a decent source for a desktop setup.
