Cold-flow phenomenon of teflon insulation in Belden 83803?

Hi,

I made 4 DIY power cords using Belden 83803 wires.
As the wires are very thick (even more so with Tech-flex over them), it takes substantial force to close the halves of the plugs and IEC ends over them--I basically had to use a C-clamp to close them the 1st time.

I am concerned about short-circuits developing over time due to cold-flow phenomena of teflon insulation.

I checked all of them with a DVM to rule out short-circuit between L, N and E during and immediately after assembly, but am concerned about this developing over time.

Any advice / opinions?

Thanks,
