New speakers from Green Mountain Audio

I know a few of you are fans of Roy Johnson and Green Mountain Audio. I just heard some interesting news from their "corporate" office in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Carlman refered to this news in another thread which prompted me to call their office.  Within the next week, they will be introducing a new speaker that significantly builds off of the success of the Europas monitor. The new floor stander speaker is called the Callisto and will fill the gap between the Europa and their Continuum line. I believe the idea is to improve the already fine characteristics of the Europa and add better bass performance.

I don't want to turn this into a GMA promotion so if you are interested in Roy's speakers, go to his web site (still the same old bare bones site), get his number and give them a call. The other part of the good news for GMA is that Roy now has a CEO to run his business while he concentrates on speaker design. If you give GMA a call, you will reach a very nice lady (the new CEO who is quite savvy) who will give you a great perspective on the plans they have in mind.

If you guys want, I am happy to post more specific info (price, new business model) or PM it to you. I am very happy for Roy and GMA. It is always a good thing for our hobby to see innovative and talented speaker designers make a move for the better.

Roy has posted here a few times.  You might want to suggest he post all the details in the Market Square section.  It would be nice if he would even post pics.

When they send out their newsletter, I will recommend to them that they post it in the Market Square.  I hesitate to post prices and other specs here or else where on the board for obvious reasons, however I am looking forward to posting initial impressions   .

This is great news.   Roy did such a great job with the Europa at its price point.  Lets hope he does it again with the Callisto.    I can't wait to see how it looks let alone sounds.

Yep.  Roy brought on a CEO to run the business part.  This will allow him to concentrate on the R&D.
