SOLD!  :thumb:

$4500 $4300 plus shipping & 1/2 paypal fee - Only a bit of room for negotiating as I need $4000 net.

The SLP-05 is one of the most favorably reviewed tube preamps of all time.  Designed by Dennis Had when he was Cary Audio.  In his own words, "I designed the entire SLP-05 in 2005.  I won awards all over the world with the SLP-05. S for special L for line stage and P for preamplifier and model number for the year I designed the product."  - Though it seems many in the audio community like to refer to the SLP as "Sweet Little Preamplifier"!

I purchased the SLP-05 in July of 2013 making it just a year old.  It has approximately 2000 hours on it with 100 or less on the tubes (I ran other tubes after a few weeks).  No damage or visible scratches.  It has a beautiful black automotive finish - Jaguar ‘Anthracite Black’.  You can see the high gloss in the photos.  It operates and sounds fine - very fine.  Note it has the newer Cary Logo.

I’ve been bitten by the low power, single-ended amplifier design and have a new matched set of Inspire preamplifier and amplifier designed and built by Dennis Had himself - in his garage during his "retirement."

Preamplifier and Power Supply will each ship in their own factory double boxes.  Also included are eight Electro-Harmonix 6SN7 tubes in their boxes, one Sovtek 5AR4 rectifier tube (installed in power supply), standard power cord (not in photo), umbilical cord that connects preamp to power supply, bound owner’s manual, warranty card, original remote control, and the unused cotton gloves Cary included for handling the preamp and tubes (I already had a pair).

Buyer pays $100 for Fedex insured shipping (two boxes) to any lower 48 destination.  Other US destinations please contact for shipping.  Sorry, no international shipping.  I prefer Paypal for the protection it offers both buyer and seller and will split the paypal fee.

The boxes are both 22" x 17.5" x 9".  One box is 22 lbs., the other 25 lbs.

Let me know if you have questions; I’ll do my best to answer.  Please read the reviews (links below); they can sell the SLP-05 better than I can!
